Granite Noir explores the enduring appeal of stories and characters that plunge us into the heart of darkness – where morality is ambiguous, motives complicated and even heroes harbour devastating secrets. Through the festival’s programme and commissioned new work we ask what makes noir so compelling and draw inspiration from the dark side of the Silver City’s rich history.
Granite Noir showcases the biggest names in crime fiction, including the best of Nordic Noir, alongside talented first timers and spotlight readings from local authors.
